My New Grandson

I had my son and his family over for dinner last Sunday and I could not belive how much my grandson had grown in such a short time. He is a real big boy. Here are some photos I toke that day

Empty Nest

First I want to say Happy Easter Everyone!

This Easter is going to be a hard one for me. I just found out that none of my children or grandchildren are going to be able to be around for it. It is the first year that I have had to go with out them. So I am feeling the empty nest and feeling a bit blue.

Then it started me thinking about how God must feel every time one of us decide to leave home and try to make it on our own. I know how sad and hurt I felt when I got the phone calls that everyone are busy doing other things. I can really relate with the way God must feel each time one of us are to busy doing other things to take the time to commune with Him. I have to be one of the first to ask his forgiveness for this and Make sure That I make the time to let Him know that he comes first in my life and that I am going to work on slowing down and start taking the time to listen to Him.

I know that it will really take some work. Putting Him first over many things. I can very easily slip into my own world and just tune the world out. My first instinct for me to do was stay in bed on Sunday and not even go to church. Wow was Satan working overtime placing that thought. Of all Days tomorrow is the one that I need to be in God House!

Being thankful that I even have my kids and grand kids and my the rest of my family. That I have a husband that works and has a great job, a home, friends and most of ALL that JESUS GAVE HIS LIFE FREELY. For me and that God me me so much to give not me but all the is willing to ask the forgiveness for their sins and for Jesus to come into their heart.

I Praise God for His Forgiveness and that I was able to have that chance at real future and not just a temporary one here on earth.

Seeing the Power of God First Hand

I know that God has got control of everything that goes on in the world. but when you get to see prayers being answered right in front of you it is amazing. I have a friend at work that needed prayer for getting custody of her 5 year old nephew. She was having to make sure he was in a safe home away from his mother that is on drugs and has a boyfriend that was abusing the boy.

She was given temp custody until her sister did what the court said she had to do. Which her sister never did. I had my prayer group pray for them and I just found out today that the day after She was given permanent custody of her nephew. She brought in his photo to work to and her is a real cutie.

When you see how fast God can answer prayer it is a might thing to see

Hi Grandma

I had the cutest phone call with my 5 year old Granddaughter. She called and wanted to to say goodbye since she, brother and Daddy are taking a trip for the next 10 days.
She was all excited. It started out with
"Hi Grandma we are going to go on a plane".
"I will wave bye to Mommy at the window". Her voice got real fast
"Then we are going to be gone 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 days" She was counting them on the calender to let me know how long she is going to be gone.
She said that I would be fine until she gets back From seeing her other Grandma.
"Grandma you get me most of the time I guess Daddy's Mom should a little. But you know you are my first grandma and I am going to be coming home to you".

I have to say That she makes me smile and laugh all the time. She is very advanced for her age when it comes to speaking and in doing somethings to at times it is like she is a little lady.
It amazes me how much older kids seems these days. 5 going on 15 even the way they dress.
I am so glad that she is really modest at this point and she is a girly girl all the way.
She will have nothing to do with buying pants to wear. It is all dresses and she really likes the long skirts that were out back in the 70s. That style is back but for kids.
